We presented our second public workshop this week and it was so different from the first. We still appreciated the fact that even though everyone started with the same materials, they ended up with quite different gardens. They again had fascinating stories tied to their garden and to their wish to learn miniature gardening. Here are the results, with closeup pictures in the next blog.

Thank you to SPH, NParks, Gardens by the Bay and our three lovely teachers – Louise, Deb and Nancy – for the delightful Workshop 2 on 22 Aug 2014 in Singapore. Do get for us the (a) common names and (b) botanical names of the plants (with photos pls to help us identify them as participants may not have used all of the plants provided in our workshop “creation”).
Two days after the workshop, a Dear Deer has wandered into Flaming Red Ah Lian’s SingaLand to check out the fertile frolics of the Twin Rabbits. Prettily perched on a tree branch is the Teeny Crimson Red Sunbird (national bird to signify Little Red Dot), chirping a lone tune as it contemplates when the bubble on the other branch will pop. Teddies playing with Ah Lian will share the Saga seeds that filled-up the dainty white basket. Noticing the gold ribbon tied to the watering can at the far end, the Frog Prince looks totally nonplussed as Ah Lian is not about to kiss the frog any time soon.
