The Wonder of Miniature Worlds
Louise Krasniewicz is an anthropologist and artist. In addition to creating miniatures she is studying ancient miniatures across times and cultures, miniatures in the movies, and miniatures at the World’s Fairs. Her first entry in the 2010 Flower Show miniature settings class won a Third Place ribbon despite the fact that she always felt she had no clue what she was doing. In 2011 she won a Second Place for her miniature Hawaiian Museum with its Charlie Chan murder scene. In 2013 she achieved a First Place ribbon and a Best of Show for miniature settings for the Herbology Greenhouse at Hogwarts. A Second Place in 2014 for Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds and a First Place and Best of Show in 2015 for Rear Window marked the end of her exhibits at the Flower Show. The production of all these works, and their exhibit in Singapore in 2014, are documented here. She has since been banned from future Philadelphia Flower Shows.
Flower Show Miniature Settings 
Hello there! I am a miniaturist/dollmaker interested in participating in the 2014 Flower Show Miniatures Settings. I went to their site and found nothing at all useful or otherwise. However I did download an application, which seems inconclusive if this is even the correct form, or if this is how you apply for this class. I will put a call into them tomorrow… any info you may forward may be helpful, like, did I already miss the proposal deadline, and do I need to belong to a particular group to apply or submit? My sister has belonged to the PHS for many years and we go to the show each year 🙂 Thanks for your reply

Forgive me, but in the hustle ‘n’ bustle of CCI I don’t remember meeting you, though I’m sure I must have (unless someone else gave me your card). I’m terribly afraid I’ve forgotten something important — please forgive! Anyway, your card brought me here, and my wife and I have just been marveling at the extraordinary miniature scenes and environments you’ve created! That happens to me all the time! I collect cards and try to connect them to a person. You and I talked after you moderated a panel on biographical/autobiographical comics and I thanked you for doing it. I have bought 3 of the works from the panel so far and plan to get the 4th.
