One of the items I needed for Annie Hayworth’s house in Bodega Bay was her red mailbox.
No luck finding it in any store or online so I had to make it.
I formed the body out of a thin sheet of brass and reverse stamped US Mail on the front door.The reverse stamp set (hard to find in the right mini size).I tested four different reds which may look the same in this picture but were slightly different painted on the brass.The result. I rubber stamped her name and left it faded instead of solid like it is in the movie. Just seemed more realistic that way in miniature.
